Reflection of Cultural Autobiography

What was the effect of you completing your autobiography?

The feeling I had on storing the events of my life in a book were amazing. I had a strong feeling when I thought that I had stored my life in a book from which can help people in gaining through my experiences.

How did it make you feel affectively (personal reactions, thought, feelings, etc.)?

The reactions were such that cannot be experienced for the second time in life. This is because I knew that people will be able to look into my life through this book and have something from which they can learn and use in their lives.

Explore this activity in light of what you are learning in class.

This learning can help me develop my knowledge also develop as a person. This, in turn, will make me develop personally and professionally. This also helps me in writing all these experiences in my autobiography on my personal and professional development. This also gives me a chance to present all my development experiences to the audiences (Amahani, 2001).

Explain how your background, values, and beliefs may be in harmony with or in opposition to the current American educational system.

The background, values and beliefs that I have acquired from my forefathers, is not at all in harmony with the current American educational system. The culture in America is totally different from what we have back in Saudi Arabia, the country I belong to (Davis, 2001). As a result of this, there is a whole lot of difference in the background, values and beliefs that I have and in the current American educational system.
