While every employee working for wages, and one worst mistake you can make a small or medium business is to think that the only motivation that governs the worker is money. Even when thinking of a way to motivate employees and get better returns, the money may not be the best option. The motivation is the act of encouraging workers to have better performance in meeting the objectives.

Through motivation, an employee can easily achieve higher productivity, greater efficiency, responsibility and more commitment towards the job that he is performing. Discussion

Motivation is driven more by psychological than an economic component. Perhaps the healthy competition, acceptance and recognition of achievements, personal relationships between superiors and dependents, the delegation of authority and responsibility and trust are better ways of motivation, when applied correctly, which the economic incentive. (Buchanan, 1997, 34)

Of course, the successful implementation of these measures depends very much on the personality of the boss or superior, since it requires excellent leadership skills. Also there are more complex to establish a scoring system based on simple and precise wins involving some prizes for those who reach a certain level of score, or even schedule group activities in which they provide the opportunity for the team is known and build personal relationships.

When the main thing is to motivate creativity and empathy, learning to get in someone else's shoes, understand their behavior, their ambitions and dreams, know their fears and limitations to create strategies aimed not only to equipment but also to the person. Always with the mindset that does not work with money machines but human beings whose lives go beyond the economic. (Gallagher, 1997, 23)
