Personal Development Program (PDP) and Performance Contribution Review (PCR) enhance the competence in the employee's productivity.

Introduction

In the global changing context, it is necessary for organizations to ensure personal development of employees and they need to track their performance continuously so that effective production and customer satisfaction could be ensured. Hence, this is the proposal of a research which will identify the perfection in the employee's productivity because of implementation of Personal Development Program (PDP) and Performance Contribution Review (PCR).

Research Question

The research questions for this study are:

Would it be beneficial to introduce a formal system around Personal Development Plans (PDP) and Performance Contribution Reviews (PCR)?

Do Personal Development Plans (PDP) and Performance Contribution Review (PCR) play a significant role in improving the cumulative performance of the organization?

These questions will keep the researcher on the track and the results derived by considering these questions will be useful and authentic.

Methodology

The research will use both, quantitative and qualitative research methods. However, primary research will be conducted irrespective of the methodologies (www.qaa.ac.uk, 2009, Pp. 5-10). For this research, staff interviews will be conducted because they are the ones who have to go through the whole process and it is necessary to identify their perceptions before starting the training.

In addition, HR Manager Interviews will also be conducted so that the whole process could be identified, benchmarks could be set, and evaluation criteria could be defined. However, a research based questionnaire will be filled by the sample size, which will be used as a performance evaluator before and after the program implementation (Ramsay, et.al, 2003, Pp. 166-177).

Action plan is a process which helps an individual to make a strategic mission to achieve the vision in a particular area. However, for this research action plan is:

The researcher will plan to visit HR Manager and understand the whole process and implication of the formal procedures which will be designed to implement the distinctive development and professional contribution plan. Furthermore, he/she will understand how to establish the benchmarks and staff performance goals and the criteria to measure performance against those goals. In addition, he/she will learn how to record and execute all these provisions professionally.
