SWOT Analysis for New Day Care in College Campus

Introduction

Day-care system is known to be a good and reasonable childcare system. Day-care system provides a child with his or her adequate learning, acknowledging, interacting and prepared them well for elementary school. Children that attends a day-care, they are more advance with many new things and aware of the society a lot faster than a regular child that is being brought up in a home with his or her mom.

The paper provides SWOT Analysis of the daycare center that will be opened in the premises of the college campus. This daycare facility will be named as Caring Tech Day Care. This facility will aim to help single parents who want to complete their education whereas, want their child to be taken care of as well (Fiona and Roseneil, 32 - 60).

Significance of Daycare Center

Daycare facilities provide children to interact with other children. With these interactions, children become more outspoken and they feel free to voice their opinion without the feeling of being afraid or ashamed. Second of all at a day-care, children learn at a faster rate while developing their cognitive skills whereas at the same time other children that are being raised at home by their own family members have a less slow rate. They tend to learn advance things, such as reading, coloring, identifying shapes, reading the letters of the alphabet. By doing this, many children grasp the new information and they use it in their everyday lives. For example, when they are taught the ABCs most children would continually sing the song everywhere they go, therefore it would get instilled in their minds and they would always remember it. Also they learn how to acknowledge and understand their body parts and the basic functions it carries out (U. S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 65 - 98). In daycares many of the staff provides nursery rhymes that would label their parts of the body, for instance 'heads and shoulders, knees and toes' this nursery rhyme enables the child to understand where parts are on their bodies and caregivers also tend to expand on what the function is. Children also acknowledge comprehension skills as to reading, writing etc.

Third of all, daycare helps the child to prepare for elementary school. One way that it does this is that the child becomes accustomed to having a different adult around them and helping them to accomplish many of the tasks per day. They also understand how to follow many rules and how they should behave in a different environment other than their own homes. Children become aware of how they should interact with others and they are already prepared to communicate with other students. Furthermore, daycare also helps the child to have a pre-look of how elementary school will be (OECD, 10 - 33).
