Introduction

Organisations must have leadership that is strong, committed, and innovative and has the vision to foresee what might happen. For the leader, to guide the work units together with a general process without delays, defects or rework. Stable organisations hire the best staff and reward for exceptional performance. An institution is moving towards stability Christianizing organisational effectiveness powers through such things as personal, interpersonal, managerial and organisational. This means that leaders must possess a level of maturity and learning that allows each person identified as a single person, which should be involved in the organisation as part of a system essential for the stability of the company. Efforts to business success does not depend exclusively on the leader, if he does not think strategically, and in conjunction with the team, techniques and management tools are not able to develop on their own, nor can the organisation develop (Brown & Dodd, 2009, pp. 291).

Each individual has beliefs, values, paradigms, skills and abilities, which enable individual and professional performance, all of which add or subtract effectiveness, together with the relationships established with third parties, teamwork, cooperation and communication. Management must be committed by persons who develop abilities to think and act strategically in order to comply with the corporate mission. Organisational strategies should be based on the organisation's strengths and needs identified in an analysis of context. It is up to companies looking for strong leaders and to communicate their vision, their dedication to the goals of the organisation and the desire to find new ways to solve problems.

Scholars have often noted that “leadership theory has not lived up to its promise of helping practitioners” in their resolution of the daily issues of organisational life. Leadership theories are often developed by focusing on basic research that while necessary, is often lacking in its ability to provide a framework for understanding real world leadership problems. The models and methods of leadership training and development appear to offer the best opportunity for the integration of theory and application concerning leadership (Bass, 2005, pp.21).

Transformational Leadership

Transformational leadership involves the motivation of employees and members to perform normal expectations for meeting the organisation's mission and for achieving organisational goals. It inspires staff and members to put aside personal self-interest for the common good of the organisation and to have confidence in their ability to achieve the “extraordinary” challenges before them. The transformational leader is a person who may have a real impact on the behaviour of employees. Transformational leadership is a leadership style that is defined as leadership that creates a valuable and positive change in the followers. A transformational leader focuses on convert others to help each other, looking for others to be encouraging and harmonious, and watch out for the organisation as a whole.
