Introduction

The history of American eating begins naturally with Christopher Columbus. Not only were the people of the America discovered, but also their food. They found tomatoes, potatoes, chilies, corn, beans and many other vegetables and fruits. This food can be found all over the world since then. What is now known as Mexican cuisine, authentic style is a mixture of Spanish and Indian dishes. This collection consists of two different cultures from ancient recipes of the natives, and a new way from Spain to prepare meat, including in particular the roast is cooking and grease. Examples of these Spanish-Mexican interludes are tacos, burritos, enchiladas or tortillas.

The cuisine of the United States is extremely diverse and difficult to define. The United States has attracted immigrants from around the world, each bringing its culture and culinary tastes. In a way, the kitchen is a synthesis of world cuisines, the main contributions are German, Dutch and Irish influences persist to this day. The kitchen also has Native American. Traditional recipes of the Indians of Alabama are preserved and protected as a cultural heritage. A lighter version of a typical American breakfast includes yogurt, oatmeal, cereal or fruit, especially cantaloupe, bananas, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries or beverages such as orange juice, apple, pineapple juice or cranberry accompany the meal.

Unlike other leading, former British colonies, Americans do not drink tea as part of their morning meal. Coffee was the drink of choice since 1773, when the British Parliament imposed a hefty tax on imported tea in the American colonies. In protest, the Americans began to drink coffee and still to this day. American coffee is slightly caffeinated (less than most French brands) and serves with sugar and cream. It was never served in a cup and is served in a mug or a portable version (Barer, 1999).
