Introduction

Food is a vital and necessary activity for every human being needs cover biological, psychological and social. A healthy diet obtained with a balanced diet. Understood to mean the whole diet food and dishes consumed in a day and not the regime to lose weight or treat certain diseases. Healthy eating is of a great concern in today's America as well as the rest of the world.

The way Americans eat today influenced over the years due to the multitude of cultures and their diets, the chemical and hormone use in food growing industry - owed to the continuously rising global population and demand for food. Americans in particular, due to the fast pace of life have embraced the fast food choices to the point where fast food had turned into an American pop-culture with devastating consequences on general health and wellness. While eating behaviors influenced by cultural factors and while healthy eating is hard to be achieved due to the chemicals used in the food industry, healthy eating habits should be formed for a long live life, in good health and wellness, and free of chronic illnesses.

Challenges healthy eating behaviors

The challenges we face in eating fast food will impact our health that have a personal with the healthy eating. The risks that involved with not eating healthy are recurring illnesses such as diabetes, osteoporosis and heart disease these risks lowered by simply eating healthy. This is stating that if you eat unhealthy food it stands to reason that you are going to feel unhealthy. Culture still influences consumer choices and preferences but so does need to eat healthful foods.

However, consumers are reasonable in their expectations; while they do not expect food companies to produce only “better-for-you” foods, they do want healthful food choices available (Alpers, 2009).

Alarming population growth has driven up the food demand, altering the nutritional value of foods due to replacing organic grown with chemical and hormone grown foods; therefore, eating healthy becomes less and less possible. Unfortunately, eating a healthy diet is difficult for many, said Kantha Shelke, Principal, Corvus Blue. Food product developers and nutritionists tell consumers to eat nutritious foods like fruits, vegetables, dry beans, legumes, nuts, and seeds but do not consider that these foods are expensive and often out of reach for budget-conscious consumers.
