Introduction

Drugs can be defined as a group of substances of different organic or chemical nature that have hallucinogenic, stimulant or depressant effects on the central nervous system, misuse of some of which may harm the body. Frequent usage of drug becomes addiction and this addiction is a disease whose hallmarks are the psychic and physical dependence (breaking) when the person has uncontrolled and uncontrollable desire to constant use of drug substances causing the cavity. The broader definition of drug can be Narcotic Drugs (narcotics) are called substance which has a specific (activated, a sedative, hallucinogenic) effects on the CNS has the capacity to cause pathological addiction, and nonmedical use of the substance is characterized by high prevalence and social adverse effects. Severe drug addiction can cause opiates and barbiturates, alcohol and nicotine. Stimulants (cocaine, amphetamine, methamphetamine), cause severe psychological dependence. Opposing views exist as to whether the ability to cause dependence in these psychedelics like LSD, mescaline and psilocybin. Without a doubt remains the mere fact that the influence of psychedelics on data exchange of neurotransmitters that regulate a variety of metabolic processes. For the prevention from these drugs there should be the drug prevention programs that creates awareness about the drugs and its usage aware youth and people how harmful the frequent usage of drugs are and their side effects. Persons, who use intravenous drugs, are come under the second largest group of HIV in the U.S. and Europe. In addition, the influence of drugs in some cases can provoke promiscuity; increase the risk of contracting AIDS. Drug prevention is an important component in modern approach to the problem of abuse of various substances. The objective of any drug prevention program is the prevention of substance abuse in children and adolescents and gives training so that they live a life free of drugs and alcohol abuse. Give children and teenagers objective scientific information about substance abuse.

Drug Prevention Programs

A drug prevention program enhances protective factors to prevent and reverse or reduce risk factors. Becoming a drug abuser depends on the different type of risk factors and the their proactive factors, the risk factors are classify as the attitudes of the individuals and their different aggressive behavior and the protective factors includes the emotional bonding and support by the parents etc ,these risk factors and proactive factors changes from individual to individual with the changes in their ages. For instance, the risk factors in the family have a major impact on a child, while the relationship with peers who use drugs can be a most important risk factor for an teenager Early involvement with risk factors like the violent behavior and weak self-control has a larger impact than later involvement by changing the course of the child's life away from problems and toward positive behaviors and attitudes.
