Case Study on a Patient

Introduction

The coughing disease is considered to be a common disease and is mostly related to the season or the disturbance in the weather conditions and environment of the patient. However, a prolonged cough disease could be an indication to some chronic or serious disease among the human beings. A persistent dry cough is something that disturbs the whole quality of health of a person. Usually, the patient wants to get rid of it at their earliest by using cough syrups that are readily available in the market and some antibiotics for getting the relief from the coughing conditions. Coughing is a reflexive action or physiological response by the body when the body needs to clear the pathways of air from the infections, mucus, irritants or foreign bodies. If the cough delays for a large number of days and shifts to weeks or even months then it indicates the possibility of some severe disease in the body (1). It may lead to serious medical and health problems for the patient including muscle pain, syncope, sleeping disorders, stress incontinence, fractured ribs and vomiting. One of the chronic diseases identified by the healthcare professionals and clinical practitioners is the inflammation in liver which is the largest gland of the human body. The symptoms identified for the diseases of liver such as inflammation of cirrhosis and granulomatous are usually the sense of pain, fever, tension on the right body side that leads to inability of the patient to lie on the left body side, difficulty in breathing, hiccups, vomiting and a dry and persistent cough (1). This case study deals with the issue of dry and persistent cough that lead to an indication of the liver inflammation in the patient.
