Introduction

Background

The process through which a damaged or missing part of bone is replaced by graft is called bone implantation. The probability of healing depends on the graft and if the graft successfully adjusts than the patient will heal soon. If the patient heals well then the graft is used as a normal bone. Dental implant is one the most common reason for bone graft because a different and new bone is required instead of the jaw. Another use for bone implant is that it can repair the chipped bone naturally too. One of the bone implant type is autologous bone implant and in this implantation, the bone is replaced but taking the bone from some other part of the body. Thus it is very risk. Another kind of bone implant is called allopathic implant and in this implant the bone is being donated by some other donor. The donor can also be some animal too in some cases. Matrix is inserted instead of bone in some implants too and the matrix helps as a foundation for some growth of bone. And it is assumed that with the help of matrix the body will heal itself. Rationale/ nature of the study

Bone implants are of many types and the reason for conducting this research is to find out the reaction of the bone after the implantation procedure. Human body is very complex and slight change in any part of the body results in different reaction. Through this research, extensive research would be conducted in this context.

Problem statement

Bone implants have become very common nowadays but there are many risk involved in bone implantation. The person being implanted can face lot of complications. There is no general phenomenon to determine the bone reaction after implant. Every individual is different and the complications vary from person to person. After the implant, the patient may suffer from bone inflammation, infection and at times may not be able to move too. For instance, if the hip bone is implanted and does not align well with the body then the person may suffer from lot of pain.
