Hypotheses

HO: Stress has an impact on the performance of the employee.

HA: Stress does not have an impact on the performance of the employee.

Variables

The variables that are included in the study include the following:

Job Stress was the independent variable.

Job performance of employee was the dependent variable.

Results

Stress is a condition that affects 70% of executives. The causes are many which include the lack of time due to overload or overwork, fear of dismissal, low self-esteem not to see growth prospects in the organization, among others.

Work stress means a situation where the employee feels unable to cope with the demands and expectations against him. Both work and worker characteristics influence the development of job stress. Certain properties of tasks, work arrangements or interaction causes stress in more workers. In similar situations react different people in different ways, and even the same person can react differently in different life stages (Bashir and Ramay, 2010).

Generally, employee health is more driven by organizational factors than on individual lifestyles. Researchers identified four organizational and management factors affecting employee health, regardless of the type of work place. In relation to employee performance at job and stress at work is based on mental stress factors and social stress factors.

Mental stress factors at work are related to the actual work and job content. In addition to the existence of the actual factors may also working conditions overall situation and the factors that may alleviate stress have an impact on the load (Bashir and Ramay, 2010).

If the situation lasts long or extreme, can the below mentioned factors may be hazardous to your health;

Responsibility for other people or economic factors in disproportion to their action potential;

There is too much work or you have constantly rush;

Also constant changes and prolonged uncertainty in the work chargeable to the employee;

Work goals are diffuse;

Work is constantly interrupted or there are obstructions;

Work offers no opportunity to develop or learn new;

You cannot self-regulate the amount of work or the work rate;

You do not get enough feedback and respect of the work.
