Google has been under the top ten of world's powerful brands since the year 2006. Google considered as the most powerful and valuable brand of the world for the years 2007 to 2009 (Kuntze & Matulich, n.d.). The search engine of Google is the most revolutionary and innovated technology in today's world which is playing the major role in the development and progress of the world. Google has innovated and created many revolutionizing technologies such as Google tablet, Google mapping, Google edition, Google's Gmail, Google chrome, Google books and the most appreciating technologies of Google are its self driving the car and Google glass (Hachman, 2008).

Google's Self Driving Car

There have been many car accidents in the past years in the United States such as in the year 2009 deaths of around 30000 people have been caused in the United States which is considered to be the great figure. Cars have been releasing greenhouse gases which are harmful and are the risk for the environment. In the year 2009, around 6.6 million metric tons of green house gases have been released by the cars (Kotermanski, 2012). After the year 2009, various innovations were made for creating many less time consuming, fuel efficient and safer cars.

Components of Self Driving Car

Array of sensors have been equipped in the Google's self driving car which is driven without any driver. These sensors are utilized to read its surrounding's physical data. These sensors copy all the senses of human for driving the car. For the collection of traffic signals which is visual data, video cameras are used which are capable of working like the human eyes for driving the driverless car of Google (Kotermanski, 2012). Radar pulses and laser pulses are employed for finding out the distance of the car form the objects without touching these objects. This is accomplished by attaining the data points. The pulses of the laser beam are emitted and after striking the object these pulses come back. This movement of pulse takes some time and distance of the car from the object is measured by calculating the time period that has been taken by the pulses in coming back. LIDAR is equipped or placed on the car's roof which covers a wide radius of laser beams of around 200 feet in every direction which becomes helpful in generating an accurate 3D map (Kotermanski, 2012). Radars are used for determining the distant object's positions. Radars use radio waves for detecting the range, altitude, speed and direction of the objects that are present in its vicinity. Gyroscopes and position sensors in the car are placed for the purpose of detecting small movements that have been made by the car which helps in locating car's ...
