The Rollout of 4G Wireless Networks

The Rollout of 4G Wireless Networks

Introduction

Extensive range of cellular data technologies is provided through the third and fourth generation networks. The fourth generation networks serves as a modification for 3g, providing higher speed and better downloading than 3G. Despite 4G has a faster speed than 3g, the latter is vastly used. We can explain it in terms of their benefits and features. In comparison of the 4G LTE, 4G WiMax, and 4G WiBro networks, it is seen that improvement has been made to each technology. However, each technology is improved to bring better ways of network communication or internet access. 4GLTE and 4G WiMAX are two competing standards which function on different frequencies. Thus they make their deployment slightly different. 4GLTE which is slightly faster works on the existing deployment whereas, 4GWiMAX with easy setup works with new deployments. 4GLTE network is the best of all 4G competitors which makes it most advanced and largest network. 4G long Term Evolution offers untethered mobility which means that users are offered more than they desire. 4GLTE provides high speed, security enhancement and low latency to run Web-based application virtually. It offers higher data rates, flexible bandwidths, increased average throughput, and spectrum deployment.

The three major telecommunication companies of the United States: AT&T, Verizon and Sprint, are developing LTE from 3G to 4G networks which provides high data transfer rates/second. The Verizon 4GLTE network presents a powerful evolution over all the competitors for evolving a change to business needs. The culmination of new level of service has been represented through 4GLTE networks. Different advancements have been made by Verizon and AT&T, and claim to subscribe millions of American users by the end of 2011. However, Verizon has been able to cover more markets than AT&T, and the Apple IPad has been the reason for this dominancy of Verizon. This paper presents the roll out for the 4G wireless networks.

Discussion

1. Compare and contrast 3G wireless networks to 4G networks in terms of:

The three major companies of telecommunication in the United States: AT&T, Verizon and Sprint have been expanding from 3G to 4G to develop long term Evolution networks (LTE), to provide highest data transfer rates per second for providing their customers with best broadband communication service globally. The third generation networking provides support for broadband and multimedia services at a faster speed. 4G advancement has been made to develop internet protocol supported by LTE and WiMAX. LTE which stands Long Term Evolution, a new standard for fourth generation 4G networks in wireless communications for a wide range packet provides very high speeds for data transfer compared with techniques and 3G standards. LAN and WAN are the integration of 4G technology which operates through wide area cell based. 4G has been developed to modify download and upload speed of 3G in terms of signal strength, user perception and network usage. 4G is the fourth generation of wireless service. 2G brought us digital voice and text ...
