Introduction

In the last decade, UK and USA have increased radically in terms of real incomes; however, unable to kept apace of happiness in their lives. In reality, people living in today's era are considered less happy in than their ancestors, because they do not have time to enjoy their life or they live in isolation along with lot of money.

Discussion

As the most important wealth sign refers to the possession of large amount of money has turn out to be unique pursuit of most of the people, particularly of today's generation all around the world. Today's generation is unique as they are highly convinced with the idea that sufficient money can brought happiness. On the other hand, they might overlook the reality is not merely determined by one factor (money), nevertheless include many other factors like pleasant/ memorable experiences, relatives, family and friends. Consequently, happiness is not a resultant of money or does not always increase with the increase in the amount of money (Rowley, 4-58).

Emphasizing on the false impression that money is directly proportion to happiness possibly leads to an unforeseen adverse effect of time misallocation. For example, when a person imitates on how money might transform their happiness sense, he might possibly be persuade to believe that spending more time in leisurely chases like traveling abroad or watching a 3D movie. However, in fact, such individuals might spend more time commuting and working, and have no or less time to get involve in experienced happiness.

It is the harsh reality that money can only buy things, not happiness. But it also varies person to person if things or belongingness will make them happy. Possession of things might bring holinesses for some point of time, but it cannot be bring eternal happiness. For instance, purchase of a new car may bring happiness for some point of time but one the desire is fulfilled after sometime happiness will also obliterate. On the contrary, it is also evident that without sufficient amount of money a person cannot buy necessitates for life such as lodging, clothing, food, and the absence of such necessitates lead to unhappiness (Porter, 8-100).

The unhappiest times are usually associated with tough financial times, thus money tend to be consider a significant mean of happiness, while cannot guarantee happiness. There is no doubt that a person can purchase desired things by money that somehow bring happiness to one's life, such a child get happy when he get his favorite toy or play station; subsequently money can certainly helped out. On the other hand, friendship and love in reality do not correlate to money, and love and friendship are prime reasons of happiness to a person's life.
