Edward Mitchell Bannister.

Biographical/Historical Note: banister, who was a very famous painter of his era and was very well known for his paintings on landscapes and portraits. Bannister was born in year 1828 at a town called St. Andrews. It was Bannister who received his education at the Lowell Institute in Boston and after his tremendous work he expired on January 9, 1901.

Collection Summary: Banister's collection had a variety and contained pencil which were about 102 in number, along with charcoals and the waster colour drawings, these were are very well used thorough out his life to draw the landscapes that he found very fascinating in nature. His paintings of landscapes would include cattle, trees, clouds brambles and all those natural sceneries that would add life to his paintings and make them look beautiful in absolutely every manner as possible. Bannister's piece of art has been found with a number of people who love fine arts and have a great compassion for it. Looking at his fine equipment he had for his art, it shows that how diverse his paintings would be. Some people also call him to be the master of sketching and master of all arts. There are a number of news paper clippings and article to be found which conveyed the message of his art galleries being organized where he would display his work to the public for either selling or for popularity. The news paper clippings and articles also contained the tribute that Bannister was given by famous personalities like George w. Whit taker, John Nelson etc. There was even a poem written on Bannister by William Smith in the year 1901 January 15. Bannister is one of those painters who were initially very well fond of nature and were always engrossed in defining the beauty of the nature through their brush to the world. It is nearly impossible to portray the complete and actual image of the landscape on the canvas, but Bannister was very good at drawing and portraying how he had perceived the fresh nature.

Solomon Northup

Solomon Northup was born in the year 1808 in the month of July and expired in 1863. Northup was an African American who was free who was once kidnapped at a very young age of 32 and was sent down to slavery. It was Northup who was born in the era when there was high demand for slaves and people, especially black people were randomly kidnapped so that they could be sold of for a good amount of money. Slavery in the 18th century had brought sorrow to the life of a many people, it was slavery that had oppressed people to live their life nothing less then hell, and it was also because of slavery that people could not un leash their true talent and live in a manner where they wouldn't be very much exposed to the external ...
