Abstract

The intention of the research is to conduct a critical investigation of Lanson place Hotel Hong Kong use of social media to help manage public relation. A variety of literatures have been reviewed to get a better understanding of the topic, and to study details of how Lanson place Hotel Hong use of social media to help manage public relation. Through historical and social events ranging from Aztecs to the present day tourism has gone through a series of events and transformations, initially characterized as a necessity and then as activity, recreation and appreciation of the customs, cultural and artistic events, and direct exchange with other societies. Social Media Monitoring is the systematic observation and analysis of social media contributions and dialogues in discussion forums ,blogs , micro-blogging and social communities , like Facebook or MySpace . It serves a quick overview and insight into issues and opinions from the social web to gain.  To companies that provide this service available to provide additional marketing efforts often derived from the observations and to give a more positive image within the Web 2.0 world. Some companies are reluctant to use social media to manage customer relationships. I explain this situation is a misunderstanding of social media (which causes a lack of interest) or by fear of a negative perception due to the publication of any public criticism. Yet social media are increasingly used by Internet users.
