A reflective account is about what happened and if the situation was to happen again how you would deal with it differently. Jasper, M (2003) said Gibbs model can be used through writing effectively and thinking. The writer has used Gibbs reflective cycle as a guide which is shown in appendix 1. The writers task was to work in pairs to present a 15 minute presentation on children at greater risk of abuse due to parents with mental illness or substance misuse in front of the rest of the group. I worked with one of my colleagues we decided who was doing what and shared work out evenly so we both had something to research. Mullins, L (2004) say's if groups are to be successful and perform effectively there must be a form of good communication and co-operation.

The writer agrees because without communicating no one would no who's doing what. Cottrell, S (2000) states the way in which individuals work together is crucial to making that team successful and effective.
