Abstract

This research paper is about the context of “Pesticides”, most pesticides are manufactured compounds that are designed to kill specific pests, such as weeds and insects. Many pesticides have the potential to harm non-target organisms, especially if the organisms are exposed to high levels or for a long period of time.

Pesticides

Introduction

Pesticides are chemical and biological substances used to kill or control pests such as rodents, insects, fungi and plants that harm our food, health or the environment. These include insecticides (insect killers), fungicides, herbicides (weed killers) and molluscicides (snail and slug poisons). Pesticides are also plant growth regulators, wood preservatives and treatments to protect the stored food. Government ministers must approve all pesticides before they can be marketed or used in the U.S. Once approved, pesticide residues in the food chain are monitored through a monitoring schedule.

The main use of pesticides in agriculture to ensure the crops are healthy and wastage through disease and infection is prevented. Pesticides are also used to protect public health by controlling various pests and vectors of human diseases. The Food Standards Agency has the problem of pesticide residues in food very seriously. We are here to protect consumers by ensuring that pesticide residues are as low as possible and within safe limits.

The Egyptians were the first to create pesticides. At that time, the cats were known as gods, and killed the mice, but the fleas and ticks that are homes in the back of the cats. Soon the Egyptians were bitten all over. Then, an Egyptian had a brilliant idea. The Egyptian pesticide created. The Romans took this example and created a better pesticide. Agent Orange

Agent Orange was the code name for a herbicide developed for the military, primarily for use in tropical climates. Although the product's origin dates back to the 1940's, serious testing for military applications did not begin until early 1960.

The target product was to deny the enemy cover and concealment in dense terrain by defoliating trees and shrubbery where the enemy could hide. The product "Agent Orange" (a code name for the orange band that was used to mark the drums it was stored in, was mainly effective against broad-leaf foliage, such as the dense jungle terrain, which is in Southeast Asia. The product was tested in Vietnam in early 1960 and put into increasing use during the height of the war (1967-68), although its use was reduced and finally discontinued in 1971.
