Introduction

Academic Affairs Structure

Academic Affairs has the primary function of the ongoing strengthening the academic quality of the education offered by the Faculty, aiming to ensure equal opportunities to students in access, retention and graduation of college. Working for the fulfillment of educational quality involves creating and implementing various projects to realize this objective by strengthening coordinated work with other Ministries and Departments teachers. It relates so directly to the issuing of different degree programs that are part of the academic offerings of our faculty coordinated from the respective departments, one of its functions to provide academic advice to the different areas that make up our school community (Fisher, 2007)

These are issues of competence, among others, interpret, and propose changes to existing academic standards and other new academic development, proposing adjustments and / or reform of curricula and create strategies that help its proper implementation, the overall supervision of grading cycle, understand the designations and licensing teachers, and developing strategies for continuing education, the conduct of competitions for teachers and teaching assistants, care and control of budget allocation for the proper maintenance of the faculty; opinion on academic issues at the request of the Honorable Board of Directors and the study of any new academic project grade curricular character, with advice and support from different methodological innovations in teaching (Par, 2001).

Academic Affairs is required to ensure proper management of the academic institution, promoting academic development, to coordinate its education activities in the various Departments and to ensure their administration. It works in several areas of activity, to promote quality education. It participates in the development of education policy. It creates better conditions for the full integration of the student and therefore, is the body responsible for regulating the relationship between students and teachers. It ensures the reception and orientation of students. Undertake reforms aimed at better coordination of monitoring curricula offered by teachers to meet academic requirements.

Increase in all sectors, the work undertaken on the direction and teaching practices. Make the availability of advanced students of educational materials. Provide training and adequate dynamic. Establish a structure for thoughtful young graduates. Provide students with a quality coaching. For the younger students formed detailed learning activities (learning to learn) by mastering organizational, cognitive appraisal and control abilities and skills, personal experience of cultural behavior in the social and natural environment, cooperation in various activities. Choosing equipment for lessons, placing it in the correct order, included in the work immediately after the instruction of teachers, follow uniform requirements for the written exercises, to distinguish between the basic elements of text (Chapell, 1999).
