African American history

African Americans (also mentioned to as Black Americans or Afro-Americans, and previously as American Negroes) are people or inhabitants of the United States who have sources in any of the very dark populations of African the United States, the periods are usually utilized for Americans with not less than partial Sub-Saharan African ancestry. Slavery

The first noted Africans in British North America (including most of the future United States) reached in 1619 as indentured domestics who resolved in Jamestown, Virginia. In 1863, throughout the American Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln marked the Emancipation Proclamation. The proclamation announced that all slaves in states which had seceded from the Union were free.
