Black Psychology V Traditional Psychology

Black psychology is a historical concept. The history of African American people in the United States is a journey that includes physical and psychological oppression and travels through specific intergenerational efforts to improve the condition of a race that has face slavery, poverty, racism, discrimination and basically powerlessness across all sectors of American society. On the other hand, traditional psychology is based upon fundamental principles of psychoanalysis, behaviorism, and humanistic psychotherapies.

Design of Living Style of African-Americans

For the past years, the African American culture has steadily gained popularity and acceptance in all of America. From hair styles, fashion, language, music and the arts - African American identity is now strongly established as part of the American way of life. Many notable African Americans are found in wide-ranging areas of employment from the high ranking positions in corporate and political arenas to the far-reaching fields of science, religion and entertainment.
