Are Science and Religion in Conflict?

Abstract

This research paper relates to science and religion comparison and its conflict. This conveys in-depth relation between both and reaches into consensus through various arguments in view of conflict among them.

Introduction

Science and religion are the two major worldviews. They are global phenomena present throughout the entire history of mankind. The relationship between science and religion can be approached from three perspectives: historical, epistemological and sociological. The first question that arises is whether they are compatible or incompatible with each other or not. Within compatibility, they can highlight their autonomy from dialogues and complementary speeches. The problem of the origins of the universe, life and man can only be answered from religious and scientific perspectives. Although this led to some conflicts today, and these conflicts should necessarily be answered. The field of ethics is an area where science and religion meet. There are a lot of similarities within science and religion, but in many areas they collide with each other. We will try to analyze them and on behalf of that will conclude that either they are compatible or not.

Discussion

Science is the age old desire by systematically thinking lead to perceived phenomena, perhaps more comprehensive associations. Roughly speaking, it is an attempt posteriori renovation of presence by the method of conceptualization. But when asked regarding religion's definition, it's not that much easy. Rather than the question of what religion is, it is better to pose that what differentiate the objectives of a human who look to religion for the solution of his problems. Religiously educated man seems to be a man having greatest possible extent for getting freed from the shackles of self-centered wishes. These are the targets that cannot be rationally justified, but that's not needed. They exist as a fact, with the same necessity as him. In this logic of faith, it is an ancient effort of human being evidently conscious of such ideals ??and goals, and to reinforce/increase their impact.

Sometimes there is a danger of assuming that science begins with Renaissance of modern science, forgetting all previous developments. This is a serious error, since the birth of modern science itself cannot be understood without previous scientific developments. Going back to the dawn of science in antiquity can find an interaction with the religion. Man has always felt the need to understand ...
