This paper highlights the major steps of film development as well as outlines as to how the film would be distributed.

Discussion

The assigned budget for the Arlington Film Company for this particular project is USD 2.5 million. The division of the assigned budget into various expenditures is presented in the later part of the paper. The categorization of different expenditures as well as the budget assigned to the different is based on assumptions and can be subjected to change.

Film Genre

The proposed genre for the film cannot basically be categorized due to the fact that it based on the war context and cannot particularly fall into any specific genre (Karg, Over & Sutherland, 2007). For this reason, the film can be said to be based on a non-genre film (Worthington, 2009). The basic aim of the film is to present the horrors and drawbacks that wars bring and thus, it can be categorized into a terror based film that attempts to bring to the notice of the audience that wars, for any possible reason, are always “bad”.

Film Plot

The plot of the film revolves around the scenes of World War II portraying a family and the hardships it faced during the war were underway. The film will portray a person who, basically a tailor by profession, is forced to join the army for the purpose of adding to the armed forces. This not only affects his social life and family ties, but also creates innumerable issues for the family that are further displayed as the film progresses. The basic focus of the film is to inform the audiences about the various aspects of difficulties, hardships, decreased social life, loss of loved ones and other sorrowful happenings that family members have to face during war days.
