Discussion

A great painter, sculptor, architect and writer, Leondardo Da Vinci is regarded universally as one of the pillars on which settled the fundamental branches of human knowledge. He was interested in almost everything they could cover their eyes and minds, and what is more grace, managed to excel in all of them.

Leonardo works of this early period can be seen and their emerging artistic inclinations (Zubov, 198-205). A good example is the angel by Leonardo to Verrocchio's work “Baptism of Christ”, followed two annunciations: “The Madonna of the Carnation” and “Portrait of Ginevra Benci.”

All of these ideas can be seen on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in nude figures, and the overall way some of the pieces are painted. Because of the vaulted ceiling Michelangelo had to paint so that at ground level looking up, the paintings would appear to the eye, to be flat. Though Michelangelo's style and approach to art was much different than Leonardo's, his love for sculpting, and supreme abilities in both sculpting and painting proved him to be ...
