Articles of Confederation

First ever official government of the US made the articles of Confederation but had many weaknesses which led to its amendment and revision. Following are the weakness which: (Jack, 200-213)

There was no power separation as it was a unicameral administration under the Article;

As most of the power was with the states, the Articles ten to fall too weak and made the central government.
