Autonomous Guided Vehicle with Advance Cruise Control and Lane Tracking

Introduction

From the start of global techno revolution, there is always a big concern for us to make the things more sophisticated and cost effective. There was, is and will always be the room for upgrading and adjustments. Since then, the incidents of traffic accidents are almost very common to us, which are increasing day by day instead of coming down. The reason is that the number of automobile users is increasing day after day. At very huge rate the no. of automobiles are manufactured and sold, which rises to the concern of road accidents.

Keeping all those features and stats in mind, there was always been a wish to design a system or vehicles that can efficiently move and avoid maximum number of accidents. A large number of efforts have been made to successfully overcome this issue, but all those efforts are still incomplete as the desire for an efficient car control system is still a wish to be resolved. We are also working currently on the same sort of project and are willing to make an advanced driver assistance system, a system that can intelligently guide the vehicles to their marked destinations. The detailed description of this proposal is written and awaiting for its approval. The navigation and control of an autonomous vehicle is a highly complex task. Making a vehicle intelligent and able to operate “unmanned” requires extensive theoretical as well as practical knowledge. An autonomous vehicle must be able to make decisions and respond to situations completely on its own. Navigation and control serves as the major limitation of the overall performance, accuracy and robustness of an autonomous vehicle. This thesis will address this problem and propose a unique navigation and control scheme for an autonomous

Motivation

In the past, humans were the main source for controlling a system. Technology is vastly being embedded & cultured in our daily actions. The rising safety concern and reducing road accidents, saving lives as a result are one of immense attention in the perspective of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. Actually, the complex and challenging task of future among all is road vehicles are Road Lane or Road Boundaries Detection and Cruise ...
