It's very disturbing to hear reports that some of the Marines have developed breast cancer. These marines were stationed at the Camp Lejuene Marine Corp., at NC during the 1980's. The source seems to have been discovered in the drinking water. It has been said that some of the poison in the water came from the runoff of solvents from a nearby cleaning facility (topics.cnn.com). A number of these men have had breast removal surgery and wanted the VA (Veterans Administration) to help them with their medical expenses.

The sick men are Marines, or sons of Marines. All 20 of them were based at or lived at Camp Lejeune, the U.S. Marine Corps' training base in North Carolina, between the 1960s and the 1980s (topics.cnn.com).

They all have had breast cancer, a disease that strikes fewer than 2,000 men in the United States a year, compared with about 200,000 women. Each has had part of his chest removed as part of his treatment, along with chemotherapy, radiation or both.
