Burial Analysis

Introduction

The study is based on the burial analysis, which particularly focuses on the archaeological data that describes demographic data about the cemetery and the people buried there. Moreover, it is observed that in past people are buried with different items to show their status. These items reflect the lifestyle of the people buried that also shows their culture.

Discussion

The study of human burials has been a key issue of the archaeologists. Indeed, it is difficult to consider of any other subject that has a longer custom or practice as a focus of interest; the analysis of the first archaeologists of the current time period at the roots of existing archaeological science and the burial monument by the antiquarians of past centuries (Makhous and Galushkin, 2004). The effects of these researches have contributed a great deal to, for case in point, the chronological and typological framework of contemporary archaeology and to a lot of methodology as well (Rauzi, 2007). In addition to this, it is important to make it clear that the interpretation behind the analysis of burials system is of mainly deductive character (Kelly and Thomas, 2012). There are various theoretical generalizations which involve at least two key assumptions and a number of definitions that are derived from the social sciences, from which hypotheses have been deduced (Mitchell, Brunson-Hadley and Lippert, 2004; Chapman, Kinnes and Randsborg, 1981). In this context, pottery, exotic and anomalies are the vital factors over the past have importance as these factors reflect the culture and status of individuals.

The result of the above descriptive statistics table is presenting the mean values of all the incorporated variables, which are used in the analysis of the archaeological data that shows the culture of the people. In this context, standard deviation and means of the variables are the most decisive values of the table as they are necessary to study because these values give an idea about the data accuracy which has been gathered.

Pertaining to this, it can be said that the mean of orientation and easting are high that is 90.5 and 41.5 respectively. However, it is found that the northing and approximate age of the buried people are 29 and 26.9 respectively. In addition to this, it is also observed that there is too much deviation in the orientation which is about 41.2; on the contrary, standard deviation of northing is minimum, which is about 16.4. For that reason, it can be said that the standard deviation of the orientation of the buried people is high that is in comparison to the other variables that are easting, northing and approximate age of the buried people.

Moreover, the statistics also reveals that there is not too much variation in the northing of the buried people due to minimum variance as compared to the orientation, easting and approximate age of the buried people due to high variance. In the same way, the deviation and variance for the easting which refers to the eastward measured distance or ...
