To stop the incidence of such violence, quite a few strategies, policies, and programs have to be made implemented, and assessed. (Department of Health and Human Services, 2001)

These include programs that identify high-risk youth likely to commit such violence, attempt to teach social, coping, resistance, and negotiating skills or to manage anger address family dynamics, or provide increased security in the school setting. However, the effectiveness of any prevention program depends largely on the level of support and participation of the target community.

Highly flourishing programs are expected to go incorrect if the goal community is unmotivated, falls short to realize what is anticipated of them, or they need adequate self-assurance in the program's effectiveness to assurance thriving adherence. Hence, like other programs conceived to encourage wellbeing and avert infection, youth-violence-prevention programs should take into concern the set of heritage very resolute convictions and understandings that comprise the explanatory forms of persons, families, and groups considering the determinants of and answers to youth violence. Unfortunately, such forms are seldom, if ever, extracted former to the development and implementation of avoidance programs.22 Although there have been some investigations that have analyzed the influences of brutal events like school shootings and terrorist bombings Psychiatric disorders amidst survivors of the Oklahoma City bombing, no one have analyzed the communities' interpretations of these events or their attitudes as to how such events can and should be prevented.
