Career Plan

Section 1

Introduction

Without a doubt, everyone has given some thought to the career they will choose. It may be, however, that they have not made any sort of definite decision. If that is the case, it is urged that they try at every chance to talk to people in the various careers that interest them, find out what they think of the work they are doing, and whether they would recommend it as something they should tackle. What they tell them will help them make up their own minds.

Perhaps they have already narrowed the field down to a few professions that are appealing. If that is the case, the choice should be easier because they will have fewer people to talk to and more time can be spent talking to each of them. Maybe they have almost decided that they want to be a lawyer, but the only thing that keeps them from making the final decision is that they do not know enough about it. Nothing is more important than this(Fendell, Kennedy, 2000). Law and the history of the nation are very closely related and, nearly always, one has a great influence on the other. For this reason, it is urgent to study history, not only of the United States, but of all the nations of the world. After gaining a thorough knowledge of history, it will be much easier to understand why some laws perished while others have survived for many centuries with only minor alterations (Wyatt, 2002).

Another of the most important subjects to take in high school is mathematics. Perhaps only one or two years may be required, but for the future lawyer, every mathematics course that can be managed should be taken. Every mathematics lesson poses a problem of some ...
