Obesity is meant to be a severe chronic disease that has negative effects on the body and its system. The risk has been increasing day by day. The individuals with obesity have higher risks of developing many different diseases that are connected to obesity that includes diabetes type 2 to heart diseases and joint or bone diseases, hypertension, liver disease, high blood pressure. Obesity is not limited to a certain age group but it is spreading all over. In the United States this has been spreading increasingly and more individuals are affected by obesity and being over weight. According to the studies more women are affected by obesity than men and are described as being overweight and fifteen percent of children are affected.

In order to get to the treatment or cure for a certain disease it is really important to identify the causes that are resulting towards it. The basis of obesity is quite simply stated that the higher numbers of calories that are consumed by the individual then the number of calories burnt in the form of energy that can be done through physical activities, the individual tends to put on weight. Even though it might seem simple but achieving the result is harder (Anonymous, 2012).There are certain other factors that promote obesity that include lifestyle, metabolic and genetics and the conditions can vary among individuals. Many studies are being done as the cases of obesity are increasing in order to get a hold of it. Individuals especially couples increase the chances of developing obesity because of inactivity and physical exercise making it difficult for the couple to maintain the weight.
