The aim of the research like every other research is to contribute to the general academia, and expand the boundaries of our knowledge. The research covers the topic of performance management, and how it can be used to increase productivity. The report explores the effectiveness and challenges of performance appraisal practices within the head office branch of Bank of Industry Nigeria with a view to develop effective recommendations utilizing a qualitative research approach helping to pain an in-depth picture.

Aim of the research

The aim of this research is to explore the effectiveness and challenges of performance appraisal practices within the head office branch of Bank of Industry Nigeria with a view to develop effective recommendations.

Objectives of the research

The objectives of the research are:

To critically review the existing literature on performance appraisal process

To identify the challenges and effectiveness of performance appraisal, explore the benefit and likely limitations, and the role of line-managers in achieving an effective performance appraisal practices in the organization
