Apart from this, the author has discussed the changes in the social system and how they affect children and their families. The author says that parents should identify the problems of children and their need, to help them in their developmental stages. The author has used a sociological approach and discussed the role of friends and peers on in the developmental stages of children.

This book focuses on the individual aspects of childhood development, rather than psychological aspects. The author of this book is Robert, V. Kail who has focuses on the communicational, developmental and reasoning needs of children. It focuses on the overall growth of children and the traits and skills which are developed over the periods of time. There is not much evidence on the qualification of author in this book.

This is the most authenticated report, as compared to other sources, because one of the main objectives of UNICEF is to ensure that the educational needs of children are met across the globe. However, this research is very comprehensive and detailed, and focuses on the phases and tools of participatory ECD planning policy. UNICEF provides funds and aid to the third world nations to develop their educational sector. This report gives a comprehensive framework for the Early Childhood Policies (ECD). It provides a clear roadmap and strategies to identify the needs of children and increasing the investment in children activities. The report was published in 2005, due to which, the data is not very updated. However, it covers the tips for successful policy implementation and forecasted budget to implement Early Childhood Policies (ECD).
