Abstract

Health and childhood obesity is a major danger of psychosomatic disorders. A literature review shows that obese children are more likely to develop high blood pressure, diabetes, sleep apnea. The consequence of obesity seems to be the same, regardless of age. Studies show that overweight children more than half have at least one heart disease risk factors. There are many different ways to treat childhood obesity, including diet and exercise behavior modification. The goal of any nutrition program is to make children eat fewer calories than he / she consumes every day to reduce the chances of child obesity.

Introduction

Childhood obesity is a serious problem in America, because it is harmful and rising social outcomes in recent years, popular associations. Although there are some childhood obesity decision method is most widely defined as equal to or higher than the body mass index (BMI) in the 95 percent of childhood obesity. Employing the method of epidemiological studies have shown that BMI, about 11% to 15%, the U.S. childhood obesity. Estimates indicate that the prevalence of childhood obesity increased by 4% over the previous decade (Center for Disease Control and Prevention 2004). Although the incidence of obesity in men and women, all races, ethnic studies increase, it appears that obesity may be a small number of groups, including African Americans and Mexican Americans, compared to whites. The trend is the society of children, is the part because monetary tightening in the U.S. physical education curriculum, more sedentary lifestyle. Research supports the child obesity, such as increased time watching TV, playing video games, the idea of engaging in sedentary activities, and work on the computer. The results show that childhood obesity is caused due to excessive use of Nintendo games, watching TV and playing all indoor games. In addition, research shows that a child spend more time engaged in sedentary activities such as the greater the likelihood of children were obese, and that with the lack of relationship between physical exercise and overweight during the initial stage, pre-school children.
