Introduction

A biblical rationale for church planting can be seen in examining three features: the Lord's reply to the Peter's confession in Matthew 16; the Great Commission passages; and the doctrine of the New Testament church. The convergence of these three forces produces a clear explanation of how the church can bring glory to God.
