Introduction

When French impressionist printers are conversed about, Monet is always on the top of the list. Growing up in France put him in communicate with numerous artists. Several of these creative individuals assisted leverage his numerous paintings. His art style called impressionism became very will renowned and his paintings today are worth millions of dollars and are found throughout museums round the world.

Claude Monet was born November 14, 1840 in Paris, France. He grew up in LeHavre, France as the child of a grocer. As a child, he was free to roam the Norman coast and the Seine estuary. It was here that he wise to love the power and unchanging action of the sea. These knowledge would substantially leverage his works of painting as he got older. By the age of fifteen he excelled as a caricaturist and traded them for as much as 20 francs. About 1856 he contacted a man entitled Eugine Boudin who boosted him to decorate outdoors. It was throughout these teen years that he revised drawing, and decorated countrysides out-of-doors with French decorator, Eugene Louis Boudin. Boudin was his early mentor from who he selected up his firm natural proficiency for painting out of doors. In 1859 at the age of 19 he revised in Paris at the Atelier Suisse and formed a companionship with another decorator, Camille Pissarro. At one issue he had to expend two years in infantry service in Algiers. Because of sickness he returned to Le Havre. Once afresh he contacted up with Boudin and decorated along the seaboard area with him. During this time he contacted another decorator, Johan B. Jongkind. Jongkind and Boudin both who were landscapists, were Monet's only creative individual experts that he worked with and educated he their techniques. In 1862 at the age of twenty-two, he went into the studio of Gleyre in Paris and there contacted Renoir, Sisley, and Bazille, with who he was to pattern the nucleus of the Impressionist group(House, 2005).

During the summer of 1870 Monet wed Camille, but at the outbreak of the Franco-Prussian War in September he left France for England. In London he and Pissarro contacted Paul Durand-Ruel, the trader who was finally to make the Impressionist assembly famous. In 1871 and 1872 he decorated in Holland.
