In addition to that, the movie “He's Just Not That Into You” and the communication used in this movie are also been highlighted in the paper, followed by a conclusion that gives a brief overview of the significance of communication and its role in our daily life.

Introduction

Communication is considered to be a natural phenomenon of the human life. It starts with the beginning of the human life. The starting of the child's psychological development is the learning of communication skills. Deprivation of communication is the worst punishment after the deprivation of life. But the value of communication is not realized as exceptionally meaningful (Drabkin 2005).

Interpersonal communication is not just a method of sending and receiving messages, but also a method of transferring messages from one person to another. But it often happens that the meaning sender is intending is not the same that receivers take away with them. In addition to that, communication is always complicated by infinite factors including perception, listening, attitude, values and beliefs, and moods (Hargie et al. 2004). A good way to understand the process of communication is to consider everyone as television sets. Also, the number of broadcasting channels can be thought as different communication channels which are used to communicate with each other, or it can also be thought of the personal styles everyone has. People select the channel which is most likely to suit them. Therefore, a person may choose a comedy channel, while another person may choose a serious drama or a musical channel, so on and so forth. When people meet one another, they respond to these personal styles in the same manner as they might respond to the TV programs. If the other person likes their style, then he or she will be expected to get on with them (Hargie et al. 2004):

Another important form of communication is a two-way communication, which is more effective than one-way communication. It takes more time than one-way communication, but it makes people more confident about their conversations and it is more accurate and effective than one-way communication. It works best when people ask question, listen actively, watch for signals and talk the same language while communicating (Drabkin 2005).

Discussion

Communication often starts with an idea, a feeling or thought. The process of communication can be described as follows (memoteque.com):

When a person wants to communicate an idea, feeling or thought to another person, then that person will translate that idea into symbols and will send the message to the receiver. The receiver will then decode the message into information (Roloff et ...
