Organization A: Wesley Mission

Governance

This community based organization emphasizes on the execution of its tasks in a way that ensures high level of quality being delivered through its services. Wesley Mission is ISO 9001:2008, which is a factior showing the devotion of this community based organization in maintaining high standards of quality services. Moreover, the employees of the organization prove to be an asset for the organization, as they are also dedicated in fulfilling this desire of the organization, putting in a complete effort to process high quality of serivces. The organization does possess an Australian business number and has been endorsed as a “Tax Concession Charity”, along with being a Deductible Gift Recipient, in accordance with the 1997 Act of the Income Tax Assessment (Parker, 2002).

Mission

The mission statement on which Wesley Mission operates is: 'Serving People, Building Hope, Honouring God'.

Management and Staff

The management of this Community Based Organization includes its board members that are responsible to make sure that the organization is working towards the achievement of its objectives of serving the people. These members of the Board are working on a voluntary basis. Moreover, the staff is also comprised of individuals working on a voluntary basis, as the organization is a Not for Profit organization. However, the staff is highly skilled and recognizes its responsibilities, as well (Parker, 2002).

Infrastructure

This infrastructure of this organization is based on the adoption of the decentralized structure. The organization follows the Management by objectives strategy. This is because of the fact that the organization works for the betterment of the society. Therefore, the objective of the organization is based on this betterment of the society (Lyons, 2003). As a result of this, there is need for the organization to have such an infrastructure that promotes the achievement of these objectives. Therefore, the organization adopts the decentralized structure following the strategy of Management by objectives.

Organization B: Anglicare

Governance

This organization is comprised of a board that is responsible for the governance of the organization. The Board members of the organization meets on a bi-monthly basis. Moreover, the board of the organization is comprised of people on a completely voluntary basis. This is said because of the fact that the members of the board devote their skills, knowledge and expertise for the better ment of the organization and the community, without desiring for anything in return (Rose, 1999). The selection of the Board members is done by Synod of the Diocese of Adelaide, who has also been selected by Anglicare Council. Moreover, the governance of this Community Based Organization is also based on a constitution.

Mission

The mission statement on which Anglicare operates is: 'As a caring ministry of the Anglican Church we will:

Enrich people's lives through compassionate service and advocacy for social justice in partnership with communities and parishes.

Demonstrate innovation and courage in our response to the needs of our community, especially those most at risk.

Show a passionate and determined commitment to excel as leaders in quality caring service'.
