Introduction

Entrepreneur is an individual, who takes the risk of opening a business and is responsible for its development, (Shukla, 2009, pp 12 - 15). Entrepreneurship a process of making money and increasing your wealth while with certain risks, skills and innovative ideas. People prefer to be an entrepreneur as compare to working under somebody because it has a lot of advantages. The society of women is the foundation of good manners; of course a pre-requisite to achieve brilliant results especially for success in business. The increasing trend developed among the women to be self-employed suggests that time is not far away when women factor would also have an important role in the economic growth of the country. Possessing the natural gift of politeness, women entrepreneurs, and if provided the level ground, are expected to bring new milestones to this country.

Gender

The gender biasness has created a lot of problems for women. Men are proffered in many occupations and are considered dominating and much harder working. Women are considered has weak and dependent souls (Gilman, 1998, pp 23 - 27). Moreover gender biasness is shown in a lot of countries and by many organizations. Women are judged on their education and experience and not on their talent and goals to achieve (Gupta & Sharma, 2011, pp 71). In order to promote women entrepreneurship, the gender biasness has to be ended in every way.

Overview

This study discusses the characteristics that women have who enter the world of entrepreneurship. Moreover, since women are new to professional world so they are facing a lot of issues when starting their own business (Shukla, 2009, pp 12 - 15). Sue to a lot of problems their productivity is low and due to less experience they are not able to produce quality results. There are few recommendations also given by the end of the paper to promote women entrepreneurship so that they keep on contributing in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the country and the economy of the country keeps on rising.

Women have to play multiple roles both in family and society. Entrepreneurship provides economic opportunities to women. Women owned businesses are becoming an important part of socio-economic development of most nations. In USA, there are an estimated 7.7 million majority owned, privately held women owned business. More over the women who are working are also taking care of their families and handling issues related to their kids, spouse and miscellaneous (Gilman, 1998, pp 23 - 27).

In UK, the last three decades proves that there has been an unprecedented change regarding women entering into higher education and paid employment.
