Comparison of Judaism, Islam, & Christianity

Introduction

All over the world today, persons wage conflicts and kill humans from other beliefs, without contemplating that they share many widespread characteristics. It is true that they have their dissimilarities; although, their corresponding attributes are so large and so many that these persons with distinct beliefs should consider approaching simultaneously in peace, not to create one belief, but to accept that each belief is correct in its beliefs and that each belief has the capability to work with each other without conflict. Judaism, Christianity, and Islam all find their origins to one man, Abraham, and all have alike past records recorded in their holy books. With all three having originated from one man, it is logical to say that all three worship the same god, albeit under a different name.

Comparison between Islam, Judaism and Christianity

Christianity Judaism and Islam are monotheistic religions. Monotheistic means the concept of one God. The believers of all these belief have their own Holy publication that was revealed upon them through their messengers; the believers of Islam are called Muslims and they have the Quran, the believers of Christianity are Christians and they have the Bible while, Judaism is one of the significant Semitic beliefs. Its followers are known as Jews and they believe in the prophetic mission of Prophet Moses (Olitzky, 45).

Religion is defined as the conviction in and reverence for a supernatural power or powers considered as creator and governor of the universe. Aindividual or institutionalized scheme grounded in such conviction and worship. The life or status of a person in a religious order. This delineation of religion is factual to the three major beliefs of the world, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are renowned as the "Abrahamic religions" because they traced their history to the covenant God made with Abraham in the Hebrew Bible. Judaism is the monotheistic religion of the Jews, finding its sources to Abraham and having its religious and ethical principles embodied chiefly in the Hebrew Scriptures and the Talmud. Christianity as we understand it is founded on the life and teachings of Jesus. Ibang is a monotheistic belief characterized by the acceptance of the doctrine of proposal to God and to Muhammad as the head and last prophet of God. All three beliefs believe in a lone God but differ in numerous ways including adoration of that god and also every day life usual encompassing plead, groundwork of food, and punishment. Major comparisons in the religions can be seen in development, history, toleration, holy war, and religious doctrines (Horst, 56-77).
