Executive Summary

In this paper, we discuss the different methods and issues that can be used for the implementation of corporate ethics in the business environment, in the United States. This is paper is thought to be made as a recommendation to be given to the Governor, which he can look into and decide on to implement in the corporate sector, in the United States of America. In this paper, first we present the role of opportunity can influence ethical decision-making in the organization, in which the opportunities that can be obtained from the use of ethical decision-making. Secondly, Cultural relativism as a framework for global business ethics has been discussed. Thirdly, different ethical theories that can be adopted such as, deontology, utilitarianism and virtue ethics have been discussed, along with their values and the impact of these philosophical justice theories on business ethics. Finally, the issue of professional ethics has been discussed. In professional ethics, the aspect of ethics has been discussed in relation to the different field in the business world like, finance and accounting, human resource management, sales and marketing, production, intellectual property, the knowledge and skills and IT. These have been discussed in order to give the concerned authority an idea about the impact of ethics, and its uses in these fields, as to create a proper understanding of it.
