Cholesterol is known to have two types, good cholesterol and bad cholesterol. If bad cholesterol is overproduced, it can is produced naturally by the body, but is also affected by diet and hereditary. An overproduction of bad cholesterol can instigate of heart attacks and other heart diseases. On the other hand, if good cholesterol is under produced, it can cause adverse effects on the body (Kwiterovich, 2000).
