Critique of Knowledge Organisation



Knowledge organisation entails presentation of different forms of texts that exist in the information systems; including library catalogues, the internet, archives of libraries, classification systems and the databases of knowledge. A knowledge organisation exists for the purpose of mediating, producing and assisting the societal practices that form part of any kind of information system. The mediated forms of information are an important part of a knowledge organisation or social organisation.
