Introduction

Description of Company - Crown Casino ltd Australia

Crown Casino is the largest casino and entertainment complex, located on the southern bank of the Yarra in the centre of Melbourne, Australia. The complex of buildings casino “Crown”, including the waterfront, is one of the main tourist attractions. The main business and investment has been in the sector of integrated resorts (Crown Casino Limited, 2012).

The casino was opened in 1994 on the north bank Yarra in the building of the “World Trade Centre”. In 1997 it was decided to move the casino to the south shore to the area Southbank. The complex is located in an area of 510.000 m ², equivalent to two city blocks, making it the largest casino in the Southern Hemisphere and one of the largest in the world. The main games in the casino are Blackjack, Craps, Pai Gow, Poker, Baccarat and American Roulette. Poker room is on the first floor of the casino (Crown Limited Annual Report, 2011).

Entertainment Complex

Entertainment complex includes several night clubs, restaurants, shopping mall and multiplex Cinema Village. The complex has a games area Galactic Circus with laser tag and bowling. The attractions of the complex are entrance with fountains “Atrium”, which show the show the Four Seasons and pyrotechnic towers located along the entire waterfront.

Hotels

On campus there are three hotels:

Crown Towers: A five star hotel located within the complex. At 38 floors, 481 rooms are located. It is located on the banks of the river; the windows overlook the city centre, the Port Phillip and Docklands. Crown Metropol: This is the largest hotel according to the number of rooms in Australia with 28 floors, 658 rooms. The hotel is also located within the complex.
