CYBER TERRORISM

Introduction

There are numerous factors and aspects of the world which have drastically changed ever since nature created this beautiful place, we call our home. One factor or the dire aspect of the society that has not changed is the trend of the crime or terrorist offenses. Every side and aspect of the society has two faces, good and bad, moral and evil. The activities perused by the inhabitants of the world explicit depict their imbedded morality or immorality. The excessively idealized scenario compels a person to visualize the world as a perfect place, free of worries and any apparent threat. However, this context is far from being true. Not only are we surrounded by the ever increasing threats in numerous forms, but also the safety of not only our lives, but also our property and other valuables is far from being safe.

The immorality within a person, the wrath of being deprived of a right or even a grudge against a person or community, prone a person towards executing the immoral, criminal or terrorizing steps. However, another interesting aspect with respect to the criminal activities, lie in the progress human race has achieved over the time. As time has progressed and the technology advanced, the crime, which are taking place these days, have also become more refined and advanced. Now the criminal or terrorist activities are not confined only to the practical or physical harm, but also on the cyber level.

Terrorism

The term terrorism has very significant meaning for our nation. Now whenever an individual of the American society listens to this term, he/she is automatically taken back to the appalling and atrocious event that shook our nation and brought apparent threat to the security of our land. Interestingly, this term “terrorism” has always existed in the dictionaries and our vocabulary, yet its usage or employment in our daily conversation was never this common. However, that one brutal attack on our land changed our total perception not only towards this term, but also towards the outer world.

Even up till now, they're hardly exists any formal definition of terrorism pertaining to the law. However, the common understanding of the term entails the organized utilization of terror in the form of compulsion, oppression or intimidation. On a more common ground, the term terrorism entails the creation of fear by employing the violent and atrocious activities, which possess political, religious or certain ideological activities; which not only creates a dreaded situation but also does not take into account the safety of the civil community. In fact, most of the terrorist activities are formulated and devised, for the sake of bringing harm to the civil community; as a source of sending their message across to a certain party (Janczewski & Colarik,2008).
