Dallas Cowboys Stadium

Abstract

In contrast to the quaint castle type towers and retro brick facing of Rangers Ballpark which is also in Arlington, the Cowboys Stadium, that has been designed by HKS, and which also has its headquarters located in Dallas, does certainly have a boldness to it. If the Cowboys Stadium is approached from Interstate 30, then its massive and huge dome reminds a person of the very simple geometries and also of the aggressive contemporary aesthetic of the Astrodome of Houston. The basic concept behind this whole theme is to evoke, by keeping architecture as the base, the relentless and persistent flow of movement all through the field. On a sunny day, the sun light pours onto the field through the big glass walls and the translucent roof. During other times, by keeping the weather in mind, the option is available to slide opened the walls in order to make a connection of the concourses with the enormous paved plaza that is located at each of the end of the facility, this creating an illusion which gives the impression that the field is extending to infinity. As far as the architecture is concerned, this is almost all about it. If you walk around any of the corners of the structure, you will be able to notice that there is conventional looking and suburban style office park. This whole facade has been organized and set up in a regular three part arrangement. There is also a service road that encircles the whole of this area, and it is also surrounded by a huge area of parking. Near the end of all the four corners of the field, circulation ramps and monumental and magnificent concrete staircase are situated. The stylish ramps that are among the most enjoyable spaces of the structure are so broad that they would be able to fit in a pair of Cadillacs within them. But, the concourses are so huge and wide that it would make you feel just like you have gotten lost in some international airport. This paper describes everything about Dallas Cowboys Stadium
