Introduction

William Henry Beveridge (March 5.1879 to 1963) was a British economist and social reformer. He is perhaps best known for his 1942 report Social Security and Allied Services (known as the Beveridge Report), which was the basis for the Welfare State after World War II Labor government, including especially the National Health Service (Rein 2003).
