Difference between Acupuncture and Orthopedics in Context of Joint Disease

Results and Findings

According to the descriptive analysis performed on the data gathered from the sample. The results were constructed on the basis of five study variables; recovery time, recovery response, effectiveness of the therapy, side effects of the therapy and pain encountered during the therapy. The comparison between acupuncture and orthopedics was executed on the basis of these variables to distinguish these two approaches from each other.

According to the statically analysis of the data through descriptive statistics, it can be revealed that 42% of the respondents asserted that recovery time via acupuncture was very quick, 27% of the respondents asserted that recovery time during the therapy was quick; nonetheless, 31% revealed neutral response. Nevertheless, in case of orthopedics 28% of the respondents asserted that recovery time via acupuncture was very quick, 33% of the respondents asserted that recovery time during the therapy was quick; nonetheless, 39% revealed neutral response. Hence, it can be concluded that acupuncture is more effective in terms of recovery time as compared to orthopedics (See Table 1-4).

According to the statically analysis of the data through descriptive statistics, it can be revealed that in terms of recording recovery response it was acknowledged that 33% of the respondents were highly satisfied from acupuncture, 36% of the respondents were just satisfied from the therapy; nonetheless, 31% revealed neutral response. Nevertheless, in case of orthopedics recovery response it was acknowledged that 35% of the respondents were highly satisfied from orthopedics, 31% of the respondents were just satisfied from the therapy; nonetheless, 34% revealed neutral response. Hence, it can be interpreted that in terms of recovery response it orthopedics revealed significant results as compared to acupuncture (See Table 5-8).

According to the statically analysis of the data through descriptive statistics, it can be revealed that in terms of effectiveness of therapy it was acknowledged that 37% of the respondents considered acupuncture as highly effective, 34% of the respondents considered it as effective; nonetheless, 29% revealed neutral response. Nevertheless, in case of evaluating effectiveness of orthopedics, it was noticed that 36% of the respondents considered orthopedics as highly effective, 39% of the respondents considered it as effective; nonetheless, 25% revealed neutral response. Hence, it can be interpreted that in term of effectiveness of the approach acupuncture revealed sustainable results as compared to orthopedics (See Table 9-12).
