Introduction

The study is related to the qualitative method which particularly focuses on the discourse analysis. Discourse analysis is a set of methods and techniques of interpretation of various texts or statements as the products of speech activities in specific socio-political circumstances, cultural and historical conditions. The discourse analysis include the thematic, methodological and substantive specifics of such researches that are intended to emphasize the very notion of discourse, which is understood due to social, cultural and fixed system of rationally organized rules of usage and relationships of individual statements in the structure of the speech. In the broad sense, discourse is a complex unity of linguistic form, meaning and action which could be described using the concept of communicative events, or the acts of communication. Moreover, in the given part of study, the paper discusses past studies that are focused on the application of discourse analysis in various disciplines.

Discussion

In the given discussion, four past studies are discussed which are related to the discourse analysis;

Study- 1: Teaching and Learning Mathematical Disclosure in a Romanian Classroom: A Critical Disclosure Analysis

The objective of this research was to investigate the execution of the competence based model of mathematics instruction in a 10th grade Romanian classroom. This study uses the discourse analysis as the study explored the conversion of a reformist educational policy into curricular material and ultimately into instructions of the classroom. This research study particularly focuses on the instructional moves of teachers in supporting their students while learning of mathematical discourse.

According to the focus on discourse analysis such as text, structure, verbal, mental process, action, interaction or conversation; there are many lines in the discourse analysis that include the conversation analysis, the grammar of the text, psychology of text processing, the psychology discourse, the stylistics, the ideology, the analysis of argumentation, narrative analysis, the theory of genres, and more (Blommaert, 2005, 16-28). The critical discourse analysis is a special approach that takes position and discusses the role of discourse in the reproduction of concern, as well as resistance to concern.

Commonly use the study as an approach to discourse analysis, because the text is a real part of language. From a study, it is analyzed that the verbal structures, conversation analysis, analysis of argument is appropriately used because from the study, it can be observed that the study is based on detail analysis and a detailed description of each structure. On the other hand, the classroom discourse is inclined by the societal and institutional discourses; moreover, the discourse analysis also indicated the way in which the instructional decisions of teachers were formed through the ideologies emphasizing on the official documents that are created in the bigger contexts which is encircled in the classroom (Temple, 2008, 1-260).
