The fact of terrorism is not new. It has existed since the beginning of the human civilization. There is no proper definition of the term but its dimensions are diverse and complex. There is a host of factors influencing the belief of terrorism. They are all inter, thus we cannot decide why people eventually engage in terrorist. Terrorism can be loosely defined as the use of illegal and unfair means to powerfully implement the principles at will.

Today, all over the world, we can witness numerous examples of terrorism in different forms. From bombs planted in crowded places to hijacked airplanes, everywhere people are threatened, and number of deaths and causalities are registered. The problem of terrorism has become one of the worst problems of all mankind. Terrorism in all of its forms, manifestations, scale and intensity is one of the most acute and urgent problem of global significance and the most unsettling development of our time. Terrorism is by its nature refers to such methods of deprivation of human life, whose victims are most often the innocent people who do not have anything to do with the heated conflict. The terrorist attacks have led the authorities to the creation of anti-terrorist organizations and departments. This will about the domestic terrorism and Hate groups like Ku Klux Klan (KKK), Black Liberation Army (BLA), Aryan Nations, SkinHeads, Nation of Islam, Hammerskins and New Black Panther Party.

Domestic Terrorism

Domestic terrorism is a common description of a type of extremely violent activity against a population for domestic political or religious purposes. There is no common precise delineation of it. It is held to be illegitimate. Domestic Terrorism occurs mainly on the basis of the internal contractions caused by various reasons and is one of the most serious forms of domestic political confrontation.

Terrorism in the United States has been around for centuries. However, the United States has set forth the USA Patriot Act to try and combat domestic terrorism. The Patriot Act states that for an act to be classified as domestic terrorism it must meet the following criteria. First the act or acts must produce to danger to human life that is a violation of criminal laws of the United States or of any State. Second it must be intentional; meaning the act must affect the conduct of a government by assassination, kidnapping, or mass destruction, it has to intimidate or coerce civilian population or influence a policy of a government by intimidation or coercion. Finally, to be classified as terrorism the act must occur primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the United States. Some of the most well known domestic terrorist organizations would be the Ku Klux Klan (KKK), Black Liberation Army, Aryan Nations, SkinHeads, Nation of Islam, Hammerskins and New Black Panther Party.
